The life of Mao Zedong


  Mao Zedong was Chinese most prominent communist during the 20th century. He was born in the village of Shaoshan, Hunan province in China in 1893. At age 27, Mao attended the First Congress of the Chinese Party in Shanghai in Jly. Two years later, he was elected to the Central Committee of the party. During the following three years, he helped established the Chinese Soviet Republic in Southeast of China, and was elected as the chairman. Then in 1937, WWII broke down. Mao led Red Army soldiers against Japanese Army, and China won in the war after eight years of fighting. After WWII, he was elected the chairman of China. Finally, Mao died in Beijing in 1976, completed his glorious life.

You told us a lot about his life, but I was wondering why Mao ZeDong was important to you and the Chinese people. Can you tell us?

Because Mao Zedong was the first chairman of China. He established The People's Republic of China in 1949.Also it was him who led the people to become the host of our country.China wouldn't be such a strong independent country without Mao Zedong!
