El Che Guevara


Ernesto Guevara de la Serna, commonly known as “Che”, was very famous for being a Marxist revolutionary and a political figure in Latin America. He



He was born in June, 1928 in Rosario (Argentina), in a high class family. In 1948 he started to study medicine, but four years later he traveled around Latin America. During this trip he saw poverty and socio-economic inequalities. After that, Ernesto understood that the only way that people can be helped was through a socialist revolution. Then, in 1955, el Che met Fidel Castro and helped him with Cuba’s revolution. He was designated Industry Minister in 1950 and worked very hard; he was internationally known. Meanwhile, he thought about revolution in Congo and then in Bolivia. Six years later he left Cuba and wrote a goodbye letter and quitted all official government positions in Cuba, including his nationality. Then, he went to Bolivia and fought, but he didn’t have the support of his allies. Finally, he was captured by the CIA and the US Army Special Forces. On October 9, 1967 el Che was executed by Bolivian Army. After that, Guevara became an icon of socialism revolution.
